About OscarHM
I am an Irish writer currently residing in Fukuoka, Japan. In 2022 I received a Bachelor’s degree with honours from the Open University, specialising in Creative Writing and Philosophy. I’ve been driven to create since a very young age, starting improv acting classes at age seven before eventually moving on to the scriptwriting aspect of production. My main interests are the Japanese language; for which I am currently enrolled in a Japanese language college; football, which I love playing and watching, especially my favourite team, Brighton; and everything anime, which I fell in love with as a consumer and creator after watching Psycho-Pass for the first time in 2015.
What the medium is able to do is what has kept me invested for so long. There is no other creative industry capable of producing art like Kara no Kyoukai or Redline, and these are but a couple of examples from dozens, if not hundreds. This medium has so much untapped potential, so many unheard voices across the world to help it evolve, and my life’s goal is to be one of those voices.
I love Arcueid Brunestud from Tsukihime.
I like collecting merch of Mika Shimotsuki from Psycho-Pass. (She is somewhat disliked by fans, at least in the west).
My favourite seiyuu is Miyuki Sawashiro.
